Installing Apps to SD Card

In my reading on all things android, apps, and such since getting my new phone I remember coming across something. Are there issues with some apps being installed to SD card? I believe I read somewhere that some apps don't work correctly unless they are installed to the phones internal memory. Another thing I have read is that if I backed up my apps to say google cloud and put in a new SD card then restore them to the new card that some apps won't update anymore and I would need to reinstall those apps manually. Is any of this true? If there is any other useful info. you can thing of regarding installing apps please let me know. Thanks!

Some apps are not meant to be move to the sd card like any launchers clocks, and so others like power amp, that has to be install to the phone itself.

And with the apps backup and restore, you can use Titanium Backup
