Installing apps without internet?

Hi guys today I bought Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc but I have no wifi router or any other internet connections(excepting broadband cable) so I want to know: how cand I install an APK application through USB on my phone? Or to make internet work on my phone via USB?

download the apk onto your computer and copy it to the phone...you will prolly wanna start with an app installer apk so you can get everything installed.

Yes but the problem is that I don't know how to even install an app installer apk... I have no Applications installer thing in Applications manager

See if in your list of app you have one that says "files"(a file manager) It may be able to install your apk file that you copy over

I have no apps like that in my menu...

I've just said: Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc with Android 2.3.2

There should be some kind of app that allows you to see the files on your sd card since its a fairly new device

Nope... in settings @ applications settings I have:

Unknown sources (ticked)
Manage applications(nothing about installing)
Storage use
Battery Use
Development

No not there, where the actual apps are...like where youd find your gallery or music player apps

Nvm I just made it I installed Astro first with android SDK and a command prompt command

If all else fails you can;

A. drive to starbuck, or another place with wifi and use the market to install a file manager
