Installing Apps

Hi all newby here so be nice.

The samsung galaxy tab 4 is my first android device so please bare with me.

If I try to download any apps outside of the playstore it downloads it as an MP4 video file.

In the security settings I have enabled downloads from unknown sources but still unable to download anything.

Can anybody point be in the right direction to download an app from a website that creates a icon on my tablet.

You could try a factory reset,I know it's a lot of work.But if fixes most issues,Even the weird ones,Like this.

I think ive just sorted it.

Had an app installed for downloading things and it was defaulting to use this app.

Uninstalled it tried again and all ok.
