Help installing custom ringtones question

create a directory on your sdcard called "media", then under that directory create on called "audio", then one called "ringtones"....so sdcard\media\audio\ringtones. Copy your mp3 or wav ringtone to that directory. After that, go to setting-> sound and select the ringtone.

create the ringtones folder in the same directory as the notifications one...then put your ringtones there.

I didn't even bother to do that. Just made a Ringtone folder on the phone and it recognized it as system ringtones. Simple as that.

I have my MP3 ringtones in the folder mentioned here media/audio/Ringtones but I can't see them when I try to change the ringtone through Personalize / Ringtone. So I installed VF FileBrowser. That app lets me set a mp3 as a ringtone. But then I have the issue of the ringtone resetting to one of the defaults every so often. Supposedly caused by having the ringtones on the SD Card? So what to do now?
