Root Installing CWM ICS

I'm confused on how to do this?Is there someone that can lead me in the right direction on how to install CWM.Please and thank you :D

Turn your phone off, then press and hold power and volume down until the screen comes up to a warning about erasing everything. press power twice and you'll be there. Or, you can download rom toolbox and use it's rebooter to reboot to recovery.
 
damn,security error..lol

any idea on how to get out of this?

edit:nevermind,pulled battery and phone boots up fine.but I tried booting into recovery and it just restarts my phone.Buttons don't work to get into CWM

You can use ROM toolbox, Titanium, or others like Quick Boot, they all have a menu option to reboot to recovery.
 
you need to run the pwnge tool twice iirc, the first time unlocks bootloader and thesecond time installs cwm

I still don't know what FWIW or MMHV or whatever the heck they are mean. Lets just go back to spelling our words can we? We're slowly moving towards the movie idiocracy... :/

You can't just install CWM on ICS. You need to run the bootloader unlock tool, all the way thru. If you got a security error it means you never unlocked your boot loader. You could potentially boot into recovery and unlock the boot loader, but you'd need to modify the script to do it. Unless you're very comfortable with ADB, I do not recommend this. Your safest bet is to reflash ICS with the .cab file and then re-root and unlock, which will install CWM.
 
woot,got it to work.tried it on my computer/netbook didn't work and finally tried it on my girlfriend's laptop.worked :D.Thanks!

Since this thread has been hi-jacked, and the op's problem has been resolved, anyone know what high end smartphones are coming to verizon in the next month or two. I might be using one of my other lines upgrade but I don't want anything thats out right now other than the dna, but I don't like not having an sd slot, and it actually only has 12GB free, and thats just not enough, also now that phones are going to 13MP cameras I would like to have something with that because I take a lot of pictures of my furniture I build and the specs camera sucks

IF the xperia z came to verizon I would jump on that, but as far as I know verizon has never sold a sony phone. I did hear that it's possible the z is coming to all the top carriers. But then what about the optimus g pro...or the SGS4...grrrr I hate how fast technology gets better.
