Root Installing Cyanogen Mod on Textnow LG Volt?

So, I know a little and I know a lot.

I've never installed cyanogen on a phone that uses this type of service (a service that uses a service lol)

Is it possible to install cyanogen on this phone (LG Volt) from Textnow?
Do I just use a Sprint APN after installing the mod?

Use APN Backup and Restore to back up your APN before installing. It will say it can't back up but there are instructions out there on how to use it with 4.4+. After you have cyanogenmod installed, go to settings -> mobile networks -> access point names, click on the three dots in the top right, and choose reset to default. Scroll down and select textnow. If that doesn't get data going, use APN Backup and Restore to restore your APN.
