Installing Froyo on LG Ally???

Ok so Google released ROM for Froyo and its official, N1 users can download it and install it to their phone right now and the phone does not have to be rooted. What if I tried installing that to the LG Ally, what would happen?
 
All the drivers between the Ally and Nexus are different. No way it would work. To get FroYo before LG releases it to you, somebody would have to manually upgrade the kernel sources manually and you would probably need root to install it.
