Hi
I have just bought a Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7108 G3 in China (on China Mobile).
It's a great phone but, being China, there is no Google account available or access to the Play store, etc...
I believe I need to root the phone in order to install the Google apps. I found the following thread:
http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-lte/531237-galaxy-note-china-mobile.html#post4349585
which suggested it could be fairly painless through using SuperOneClick and installing the relevant .apk files, etc.
However, I couldn't get SuperOneClick to work and now don't think it is the right package to root.
What is the best way to achieve this? Is it relatively safe? I guess that since I don't need/want to flash a new ROM it shouldn't be too risky?
Any help would be much appreciated!
