Help insufficient file permissions

Hi guys, so I am new to android and I do not know the first thing about them. I bought my first android about a week ago HTC one M7 (switched from iPhone after my 4th phone in a year) right to the point. Any time I try to take a picture, create a file, or download certain apps, I get an error message. For the camera it won't let me take the picture and it tells me that I have insufficient file permissions. As for files and apps, it tells me something has gone wrong or an error code 492. How can I fix this? I need my camera for my work and I can't figure it out. Help!

Take it back to your seller, sounds like a bad phone. You shouldn't need permissions or get errors on anything at all. Hopefully this seller was legit?

I already tried that but he disappeared. Last time I use Craigslist. But everything else works well. I can download most apps, it's only apps that use the camera it seems. I've heard of a corrupt sd card, but as said I'm not up to speed on android anything right now .

You can buy a new SD card off Amazon. These things come cheap. You may need to download a manual of your phone off the internet to see how to replace the one in your phone. It's really just the same as a sim card. Same size too. You just need to know where the slot is. Also make sure you are getting a supported size SD card.

So I'm guessing (I have the HTC on m7 from 2013 so it's internal only, no ext) I'm guessing a fat32 format would work?
