insufficient phone memory

I have LG OPTIMUS P500 which is having phone memory 13mb left out of 190mb, when i went for installing application from google's play say sbi freedom, which is 389kb, the application gets downloaded, but while installing it says insufficient phone memory and does not get installed, please guide me why inspite of having 13 mb phone memory it is not able to install 389kb application. thank you

Sorry for the duplicate post, but I just anwered that in another thread:

-Move as many application to the SD card as you can. Go in parameter, apps, manage apps, if my memory is right.
-Delete all updates that you don't really need. I don't use twitter, so I removed it. I then removed facebook updates. I need my phone to work as a phone&sms (first), then as an agenda, contact manager, radio, alarm clock, and camera. The rest, it's a bonus if there is memory left.
-Root your phone and remove apps that are build-in but you don't use. It's long, difficult, error prone, but I think I saved a few MB doing that.
