I have a Rooted Samsung Galaxy S with a 16GB SD card.
Under SD card and phone storage I find that the SD Card has a maximum storage of 14.83GB with 7.30GB available and the System Storage has 1.75GB available.
Using the Watchdog app I find that the phone has a maximum memory of 337MB with 6.1MB free.
I have tried to download the Alan Rogers Camping App but I am told that there is insufficient space on the device.
1. Is this amount of fee memory (6.1KB) typical of a phone with quite a few apps on the phone?
2. What is the maximum free memory available for apps with Android 2.5?
3. Is there anyway I can pare down the operating system top increase the free memory?
I appreciate that asking question 1 is a bit like asking how long is a bit of string but I am hoping that experts will have some idea as to the range of free memory available on such a phone.
