Insurance after rooting

You need to read the terms of your insurance and see if it says anything about software but I'm pretty sure you'll only void your warranty with company you purchased it from it shouldn't effect your insurance at all.

Besides all that, you can always flash the original firmware to unroot it!

Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.

But won't the bootloader remain unlocked? I think that's what really voids the warranty, as the phone tells you, "If you unlock this, your warranty is voided."

For VZW, the insurance you get is for the physical phone, not the software. So if you root it and brick it or something, just drop it in a glass of water, and you can get a new one.

Rooting will void the manufacturer's warranty, not the insurance

I don't know about other carrier's insurance, though.
