Insurance?

Okay, i bought a Nexus 5. My old phone is still subsidized and has water damage. It had mobile insurance. Two questions, is it covered, and is the Nexus 5 covered for anything? I'm contemplating just getting rid of the insurance but won't if anything's covered. Thanks.

Check the insurance papers. Some cover water damage, some don't.

As far as the Nexus, if you didn't specifically buy insurance for it, it's covered for manufacturing defects for whatever period the warranty says.

If you didn't buy insurance for your Nexus 5 there are third party companies that you can pay to insure it. Make sure you read what they do and don't cover.

I checked with sprint, and was told the insurance covers whatever device is activated. Whether that's entirely true or not I'm not sure, I should probably check with the ins company

Your best bet is calling them and asking

Also if you just bought the nexus 5, and since the phone is just recently released there would not be any doubt of that, your carrier will most likely add insurance to your monthly bill.
