I just heard about this phone recently and am very excited for it to come out. I'm just wondering who else is interested in it and what everyone knows about it so far. Having 4g LTE on a MetroPCS android phone sounds like a lot of fun :D
 
Got it. So far its extremely fast on the web, I was reading it was about 3 mb per second. I was easily able to stream a full episode of a fav show of mine, off a random website. So far the biggest problem is its 2.2.1, meaning non root currently. Would probably have to do the same stuff as the lg, and somehow downgrade it. Unless there's another tool. Right now my biggest concern is the bloatware. So i gotta figure out how to do that without rooting. Also another huge thing that sucks, is they didn't make an easy way to shut off the 4g mode. So again, gonna have to probably find an app, or root that shit to fix it. The screen is nice, the phone is all plastic. Even though its plastic, its pretty light in weight. Has only a 3 mega pixel camera. Has 1 gig processor, and 2 gig on board memory aka hard drive space. The ram is the confusing as hell part, because it says 256, but i'm thinking maybe its 512, and half it split between the actual os, and the apps. The battery life seems a bit better than the samsung craft, but not much.
 
lol no. It has 2 gigs of internal memory. Can use up to expandable sd card of 32 gigs. Why would i want to turn off 4g? Because if you've never owned a 4g phone, it kills your battery. So when i'm talking, or when i'm in a wifi zone, why would i want 4g?
 
No, I've never had a 4g phone. That should change today!
Thanks for your first postings last night! I've been anxiously searching the web ever since I made the decision to get this phone. I've been really disappointed with the performance of my Ascend while surfing.

Excited to see your post about Rooting this phone as well!! A man after my own heart!

Now, can anyone answer my question about what it's gonna take to get a new forum for this phone here?I'm very anxious to see what the smart people on this forum will think of this phone. And how long until it's rooted....
 
From what I know, the Indulge is the Forte, and it will simply require a programming change to switch the title of this forum to Indulge. If I am wrong, than please correct me.
 
The forte is in the folders and programing of the Indulge. The Forte as i've said billions of times was the prototype. How do I know this, because i work for metro and one of my bosses was testing the phone before release.
 
So easywifi inside my Indulge is labeled "samsung forte easy wifi" on the phone information it obviously says my phone is the Indulge.
 
I have notified an admin for a title change to this forum to "Indulge." It should reflect within the day.
 
Yeah I really would like this phone. Problem is from my reading many of the Samsung Galaxy phones are unable to be rooted. If that is the case this phone becomes less attractive to me. I would much rather buy Optimus M and have a phone I can root and play around with. I will be purchasing one or the other this Sunday.
