I have not been following the news about the new space "Roman" telescope due to be launched. I know the Falcon 9 Heavy is a huge rocket, but the telescope is described as being the size of a tour bus and it's amazing to me that we can put something that large atop a rocket and get it into space a million miles away.

It is designed to stay in a "stable spot" in space and capture images impossible to gather otherwise. NASA expects to begin sharing images in Q1 2027.

As soon as you mentioned "a stable spot in space" I knew it was one of the LaGrange Points... James Webb Telescope is in one and we have solar observation satellites at a couple. So this one's going to L2. Okay then, should be fine.
 
This is why legalizing recreational marijuana has proven disastrous in the states that enacted it: states like Colorado are seeing massive increases in marijuana-induced psychosis. Factor in that there is no metric for the level of THC impairment, like there is with blood-alcohol content testing, and it's a recipe for disaster.
 
I rescued two VHS/DVD players some guy took to the dump. If they test well, I'll put them on the market because physical media is making a comeback. Younger people are just learning what I've known for a decade: when you entrust your favorite movies and shows to online curators, you're at their mercy on when they make that media available and when they take it down. Having the physical media in your house solves that problem.
