If its been done let me know but what I came up is why can you use pdanet to tether to a battery opporated wifi router like a porteble battery pack and a router and have the router brodcast it?

Why not just use the wifi tethering you can get while being rooted, why add more equipment? Not bashing your idea just wondering is all.

If you have a Windows 7 laptop, you can use Connectify to turn it into a wireless access point.

So just tether your Droid to it with PDAnet, then share that connection with Connectify.

If you don't have Win 7, then idk. You can't connect it to this magical 'battery operated wifi router' as PDAnet needs drivers and a real computer to work.

root is so simple it just gives you the access you need to installed wifi tether, you don't have to do anything else if you don't want to. no one would even be able to tell lol

You can do it on Vista also, ive done it many times.

Rooting is sooooo easy and just as easy to revert to complete stock with SMupdater
