The ship that were going on, in May, has a passenger max capacity of around 6,000.
Lot of people to try and navigate around.

We were headed into Cozumel at the same time as Icon of the Seas. OMG that's a massive ship. I wouldn't want to be on something that huge... but I'm more of a smaller ship guy anyway.

This will be our first cruise, Chief. I'm pretty sure that I'd probably be more comfortable pon a smaller ship, but, the Boss Lady's uncle paid for our fares, so...

I got to thinking a few nights back about the size of the darned thing; it's like 3 football fields long 190 feet tall but only has a draft of 30 feet.

I didn't sleep well that night.

Those things are super smooth, Pit. They have stabilizers that pretty well negate any rocking of the ship. You'll be amazed by how steady those things glide across the water.

I'm sure that the engineers have it all figured out, Chief..
Something about the 160 feet above the surface vs the 30 feet below, As long as those 30 feet stay where they're supposed to, I'm alright.

All the engines and fuel/water tanks are down in that 30 feet, so I think there's little risk of capsizing

I actually realize that, Chief. There's just the idea that a 1/5 mile long ship that sits 160 feet above water only has 30 feet below.

I'm old enough to remember The Posidon Adventure. Ím not as young as I was so the idea of making my way 140 feet up/down might be problematic.

I'm already binge watching old episodes of Gilligan's Island, boning up on my lost island survival strategy.
