Help interesting problem

the extreme right panel of my droid screen seems dead.
The on screen keyboard buttons don't function--"p, l, del" when the phone is held vertically. And the search icon at the bottom of the phone (not on screen) is dead --most concerning
any ideas???

It's possible.. capacitive touch screens use a sensor grid to detect the electrical flow from your finger. I would guess that the grid could be damaged somehow on that side and not making a connection. Is your phone rooted? It could be an issue with a bad rom possibly, if it is a stock device I would definitely take it in to a store and let them take a look at it and possibly replace it.
