Help intermitant beeping...zt-180

Right, sometimes the intro, how can i put it, jingle? is replaced by what sounds like pc speaker or surface mount beeping, 5 beeps x2, any ideas?

i know there is no problem with the hardware, it's just a little strange.

That's an odd one!

If the number of beeps follows a consistent pattern I'd have to guess that the error is coming from an application or the ROM.

is the software booting up still?

on PCs when the sound device fails to load resulting in no sound usually a system speaker will overtake sounds the system puts out.

if the software still boots up, do you have use of the sound device in media players etc?

yeah there seems to be real player media scanner and quickoffice booting up at the same time, aswell as various other programs, thanks for the help lads
