Well, after 9 months of solid performance my Xperia Z is going back to Sony for the first time! It's developed a problem whereby during a call the other person's voice intermittently cuts out. Speakerphone works fine.
Sometimes when I press the back with my finger this pops back into life, and when I release it goes again. This suggests maybe a loose wire inside or something.
Fortunately, I'm still under warranty! :-D
