Help Internal Device Memory Full

Samurai64

Lurker
Original Samsung Tab. Just got internal memory full error message. I do not have that many third party applications on my Tab. All are on the SD card.

Showing 1GB used, 200MB free after having gone through and cleared cache/data on programs, removed those that I was not using. Have rebooted.

Is this just the operating system using all of that data? I find it hard to believe that much memory is just for the operation system.

On firmware version 2.3.5, Verizon service.

you have the gig of RAM and then you have storage like photos music etc. then if the tab has a sd card you have that storage. it may not be talking about the gig. it may be referring to the phone storage or the sd card. i have 250 megs of my gig open

Not the SD card. I have over 25GB left on the SD card. It is the internal memory and I can not figure out what is taking all the space. I have moved all possible programs to the SD card, removed and cleared all cache and data for programs that are rarely used. Those that I do use they have kb of memory used not even MB for their data caches.

I figure it is probably the operating system itself or some type of memory leak. I don't think I can remove unwanted system programs without rooting the unit.

Anyone else seen this problem and have any other suggestions?
