Internal Memory and Ram

[saptech]

I'm a little confused by these terms.

Included 4 GB microSD card with support for optional cards up to 32 GB.
4 GB internal memory
512 MB RAM

I understand about the SD card but what is the difference between the internal memory and the ram? I would assume the ram is a chip similar to desktop computers ram. Where is the internal memory stored?

Thnx.

I'm not sure if this is technically correct, but I think it would help you to think of it this way. The RAM helps determine the speed/performance of your phone, and the internal memory is just for storage of things such as pictures and videos.

Things stored on the SD card will remain on the SD card, even if you were to put that SD card into a different phone. However, internal storage is limited to just your phone. So if your phone gets shattered into a million pieces, you wouldn't be able to access any of the things that you stored on the internal memory of that phone.

I hope this helps.

Internal memory is basically the built in USB storage.
