Internal memory - help needed

Hi all - this is my first post so be kind.

Last night I downloaded an atari app from the store over wi-fi as it was 50mb! It was rubbish so I uninstalled straight away. However my phone now says that the memory is nearly full!?

How can this be? Its as though the app is still on the phone even though I cant find it anywhere on there!

Can anyone help?

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Then Market (or Play Store as it may be updated on your phone) > and clear data. See if the problem still exists.

Thanks but that still doesnt help. Ive cleared everything I can think of. I should have als
o said that the phone is a samsung galaxy.

While you’re in there, uninstall Google Maps updates, the biggest hog in the andoid universe. The original app, which cannot be uninstalled, works just fine.
