internal memory usage

i know that all my apps are saved in the internal memory, but i wanna know what else uses up my internal memory because i have only 104/465 mb.... also some games require a huge amount of space, such as spider man n asphalt 5, but i cant get them cuz i dont have enough space..
one last question, is there a way to backup game data, because i lost everything with the 2.1 update, but i dont want to lose all the data when i get 2.3

I just got my X10. I had a Motorola Backflip and was unhappy because the Backflip only has 256MB of memory and I often got down to 50-60MB of memory free. I was not eligible for an upgrade and AT&T would not sell me a refurbed X10. I was lucky enough (or at least I think so) to get a brand new Xperia X10 through Craigslist. I couldn't be happier! I rooted the phone, installed FreeX10 (2.2), and Apps2SD. I have over a hundred apps installed and I still have 280MB free. The phone is pretty, responsive, and I am very happy with my purchase. Apps2SD save me 100s of MB of space, so yes, it is worthwhile.

Yes, but only if you're running 2.2 or above (as I understand it). There are methods to do this 2.1, but they are much more complicated (and have some different characteristics).
