Help Internal Mic Problem

I'm having problems with the internal microphone on my n1.
I've always had issues of people complaining they cannot hear me clearly. Also when I initially answer a phone call, my first "hello" is almost never heard by the person calling. These are however not my main problem.
Today nobody could hear me no matter if i called them or they called me. I rebooted the phone to no avail. However when I put it on speaker phone, they could hear me. When I voice search, it recognizes my voice just fine. So I don't know why it only doesn't work for voice calls.

Anyone ever encounter this?
 
Have you tried a factory reset on your phone? I've never heard of this issue before. Do you use a bluetooth, since that might alivate the issue a bit.
 
I am having the same problem. I contacted HTC and they advised me to factory reset the phone. I reset it today and so far, I have made one call with no issues.

Update: My internal mic problems seem to be solved by uninstalling Pandora and rebooting. If you have Pandora installed on your N1, try that route and see if you have any luck. I am on three days straight without a problem (fingers crossed).

Glad you got solution.Seems even after almost 3 years of Nexus one launch, I see this problem still persists no matter the phone is rooted or not rooted. I only see users posting the problem but no fix as such ?

I am also experiencing the same problem. Pandora was never on Phone. I could also not claim replacement as it is imported to India.I could make incoming or out going calls when connected to Bluetooth headset fine and perfect. If I am not using headset, callers on the other side could not hear me at all, though they are audible to me. I have tried 3 finger salutes, reboot, factory reset but nothing fixes the problem. It is clear evident to me that this should not be hardware problem because the recording works fine in camera video mode. Could some one help me with quick fix ?

Hi Friends,

Could someone suggest a solution on this ? I have rebooted and also done factory rest twice, but seems not fixed yet :(
