Help Internal SD and playing movies?

I am going to be putting phiremod 6.3 on my nook and had a couple quick questions. By doing this do I erase my internal sd card (lose stock nook settings, cant revert back?) I want to make sure if I pull the external sd card out it boots back to stock nook. Also if your booting off the external sd how do you get movies/music on the nook? I tried doing this with honeycomb on external sd, worked fine but you really couldnt access the external to put media on it after that. Thanks in advance!!!! Do you guys like the phiremod compared to honeycomb?

You should be able to plug your nook into your PC and then enable USB storage through the notification bar, which will cause both internal and the SD card of your nook to show as drives in Windows.

For some reason the notification never comes up. I have a connection as I pushed some apps through to get market on. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong? Do u run honney off external sd? Thanks

I haven't tried honeycomb, so maybe it's a little different. Sorry, but maybe I can't be much help here.

Since it's relevant to the topic, thought I'd share; I put together a CM7 bootable SD for a friend last night. One of the programs I preloaded and configured for him was Netflix. I tested it today before I handed the chip over, and it played perfectly, no different than internal memory. It buffered up to the high-quality image just as fast.

I used CM7.0.3

I downloaded a copy of "The Hangover" months ago and watched it on my Nook. Obviously the resolution was for a smaller screen and hardware acceleration doesn't work yet (but it's on a to-do list). Only Rock Player sized it correctly to fill my screen.
