Help Internal space full

[Internal space full]

Trying to clear up internal phone space. When I open the internal "phone" folder and select all files, click "properties", it shows that the space occupied is only 4.01 GB. However, in "my computer" it shows that 22 GB of space is occupied.

Can someone please explain and how can I reconcile this? Thanks!

You can install the Storage Truth app from @scary alien to view details about the devices storage:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sa.storagetruth

It should clear up how much storage is really being used.

There are system files and folders that are usually hidden from users, you can see the storage summary but you can't browse hidden items from your computer.
