Help Internal Storage does not mount on cm 10.2 if external storage present

Hi,

Originally on stock rom my phone would not pick up my external sd card. In order to fix this I decide to flash cm 10.2 this process went well however if an external sd card is inserted cm does not mount the internal storage as well so I can only have one mounted at a time (this same problem occurs on cm 10.1 stable). Note: If I remove sd card internal storage mounts fine.

I've searched through the web for an answer to this problem does anyone have any ideas. Any help appreciated thank you.

Well I just reformatted my sd card using my tablet (Galaxy note 10.1) and everything is working fine now so as a follow up question does anyone know how to format sd on cm 10.2, or even to umount the sd card? I couldn't find the options while I was working on this problem.
