Android Question

Well first of all hi to all, and thanks for taking the time of reviewing this,
I cant seem to find an answer anywhere so literally any information on the subject would be apreciated.

I own a ntt docomo fujitsu arrow s, The phone has been working flawlessly for so long
so much that i just never consider even doing a backup, now im literally facing hell

Well ill try to explain my problem also keep in mind im not really good with android, but i fix pcs so i get some stuff.

Okay ill start, one day my phone was working as ussualy and i went to the gallery as always and i had the external storage not available message,
so then i went to storage and it reflected that my internal storage was 0.0g.

So the thing is, apparently my data is still there, my apps are there, my wallpaper didnt switched, just like my ringtones, also if i go to
clean master and in settings-apps my apps and the storage i had before the incident was exact, as in i had 18g of used memory and it still reflects me that,
but certain apps like file explorer dont show anything , i literally dont have anything in my storage, idk what to think of this.

Also ill post some extra information because if anyone have any info i guess you will need more info from my side.

If i connect the phone to usb storage , it reflects me my internal storage is at 0.0g and nothing is inside.

Ive never rooted and never even tried.

I didnt install anything lately that may cause a hardware change.

The phone didnt fall, didnt got wet.

i think the sd card was in the internal storage, as an emulation, i thik idk much about that. (but i never used one, just the internal storage)

If i try to mount an sd it just doesnt happens the only thing i can do sd wise is erase all data in the sd

So basically now idk what to do, i wish i could keep my stuff, idk its still there, i guess the term for this is my storage unmounted, so using adb to mount it back would work?
idk i also did the putting it in tmp and disconecting it and nothing im literally going insane and have slept like 2 hours per day, so thanks for taking your time to atleast review my problem

also sorry for the bad formatting, english isnt my native language.

SD card naming is confusing. There is an "internal" sd card, which is the internal storage emulating an SD card. Some phones also have a real SD card, sometimes called "external" sd card. From your post I think you don't actually have an SD card, just the internal storage emulating it.

One thing I would do is delete Clean Master. Seriously, that stuff is bad for your phone's performance (see here), and also a serious privacy risk.

Have you tried the basics: reboot, or even remove battery for a couple of minutes and then see whether it's better after that? Go into recovery and clear cache?

Thanks for replying bro, also sorry for uploading this so many times, it was showing me error everytime i tried to post it.

Well going to the issue, yeah i dont got sd card, its the internal emulating it.(thats what i meant)

Also thanks for the clean master advice ill do that asap

And yeah ive gone trough some basics, to be honest theres a concept i dont really get, as in , in every phone deleting cache is the same, my phone is stock so idk how to do that, but if you redirect me or tell me what to google il find it.

also heard something about the dalvik, i dont really know if my phone even has that.

Oh one last thing, i saw a post about adb being able to remount the internal storage using terminal
but the code started like

su
something something

so idk if my phone need to be rooted to do this.

Also thanks for the reply bro, im really going insane over this

Google "(your phone) recovery mode" once in recovery mode wipe the cache partition. You're right, stock recovery doesn't have the option to wipe Dalvik, you would have to factory reset to do that (which is useless for you).
And yes i think scripts starting with "su" require root.
Good luck

Thanks funkylogik and Hadron, really good comunity going around.

ill try to wipe the cache and post back

Also is rooting a good option , from what ive read is kinda hard to root this phone and if i mess up im done because i think there is no custom rom for my phone so idk what to do

Rooting is probably a bad idea unless you know exactly what you're doing with a rooted device because there won't be a custom recovery available for it (which let's you backup the complete phone, system and all) so if you mess up, you're stuck :thumbsupdroid:

NTT Docomo, you must be in Japan? Good morning from China, bro :thumbsupdroid: ...don't think we see many Fujitsu phones outside of Japan TBH.

So you're getting intermittent problems with internal storage, with it unmounting. This is flash memory, just like a removable SD, it could well be a sign that it is going bad on you. Flash memory does have a finite life, and does wear out eventually after an x number of write cycles. First thing I think you need to do is backup your data from it ASAP!! If you find it getting worse, it may not come back at all eventually. If the internal flash memory is dying, it's likely time to be buying a new phone, assuming it's not still under warranty.

Hadron's initial response still works for me on my Oreo device in 2018 (Moto g6). Saved me from having to worry about restoring the phone while I'm on vacation!

Thanks, Hadron!

I think rooting your phone can put you ahead on the game..you love your phone..and with the root tool you can improve it's performance..if you don't know how..there's one of the Android experts on this forum that if some one knows how to root your device..that would be him..his name is Mike.
