Root [International] Android fails to update

Newbie
I have a HTC one (M7) recently unrooted

I wanted to update my android so... I tried.
It first went all normal, downloaded the update and did install now. First it rebooted into recovery then it showed some lines of commands with a triped android picture in the background. Imidietly after that it reboots and the phone acts like nothing happend. I still get reminders to update. First i thought it was becus it was rooted so... I unrooted it. Didnt work. Any ideas?

Since you are / were rooted, it's possible there's still some issues with uprooting.

If you verify your carrier this thread can be moved to the proper sub rooting forum, if you are not an international user.
 
No after you update .you need to do a factory data reset. ONLY AFTER THE UPDATE PERFORM A FACTORY DATA RESET.
 
Did you try the manually update if it Dont work try with the WiFi on the root will keep it from rooting
 
I know why the error is getting coused... It appears it cannot locate the update. I found the last log file and pasting it here for people that will know how to fix it

Sorry, are you trying to install an official Over The Air update? If so the problem is that you still have a custom recovery (TWRP).

When people talk about unrooting to accept an official update they mean returning the phone to stock software, not just removing root from the ROM. Of course if you want to update and you have a custom recovery you may as well just install a custom ROM based on the newest software (unless you are S-On and want to do a firmware update in the process).

An RUU, such as the one you posted, will return a phone to stock (and erase all user apps and data, so back up first). They do check the phone's region and original branding ("cid" check), so you need to use one which matches (again, if S-Off you have more options). They are just Windows executables, so you connect the phone via usb and run the RUU on a PC (put the phone in fastboot mode if you are not running a HTC RM). But as I said above, if you have a custom recovery and just want to update your android version you can do this with a custom ROM instead.
