Rooting my SG3 seems pretty straight forward, im guessing its not much different then when i "jailbroke"? my iphone, but before i do it, i have a few questions

1.
With jelly beam comming out (official release) for the SG3, will there be any side effects from rooting my phone now, really would love to get access to more features like, being able to pair with ps3 controller etc etc.

2.
As far as i have read, there is a small chance of bricking ones phone, then again, same again with iphone a jailbreak, but is it something to be worried about? i can imagine that most cases of people bricking phones are from not really guides good enough or simply just being impatient.

You will still be able to update to jellybean after rooting. OTA or kies update probably won't work but you can just download the jellybean firmware and flash with Odin the same as you do when rooting. There's also the option of custom jellybean roms.

Although the chance of bricking your phone is minimal it is possible. But as you said 99% of the time it will be from user error. So if you use the cfroot method and follow the instructions it's safe enough

Oh well, now its rooted, no problems, easier then jailbreaking iphones, phone into download mode, run odin, connect phone, choose .tar file and voila.

One small question tho, ive had a few small problems with my phone getting a bit hot or rather warm, so i have a battery temperature app installed, the phone seems to be running a few desgrees hotter on idle now.
Can obviously be due to alot of things, i cant imagine rooting it does anything other then give you root access and install a few programs? it doesnt alter the firmware / rom or whatever its called right?

Its a bit late here so im sorry if what i just wrote doesnt make any sense, crossing fingers it does ;)

Think you can just disregard my last post, seems to be doing fine, its just me worrying to much about small things.
