If you're using Siyah I'd recommend you get Droidphile's Profiles app plus his 4 profiles - look in one of the posts below Gokan's OP on xda site. Droidphile has setup some working profiles and his app makes it really easy to use in conjunction with STweaks app. I use his battery profile mainly which is tuned towards battery life (obviously) plus there are two performance profiles and a more extreme battery profile.

Each profile has proper tweaks contained in it which you can check in STweaks.

Got SetCpu and set a profile when screen goes off, Max is 400 and min is 200. I will see if there are any freezes tomorrow and how the battery is.

No, he stopped developing for the S3 when it was on 4.1 so his kernels won't work on 4.2.
