I traveled to Europe recently with my HTC dna phone and was frustrated when I found that it could not tie into any network in: Netherlands, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary or Czech Republic. The phone is touted as being Global, but neither this setting, nor a CDMA setting on the phone netted any results at all. My carrier (Verizon) was clueless, and, surprisingly, so were the people at HTC. They said that the "frequency" differs from one country to the next and only local carrier within the countries could do anything about it. Then why did my friend's iPhone work? This last part REALLY pissed me off.
Any ideas?
