Root [International] can you update android after root?

I am running 4.1.2 and rooted recently. I tried to update the OS and got a weird message "Memory Full. Not enough space" but I clearly have over half of my 11GB free. Then it tells me to check back in 24 hours. How rude!

I'm wondering if being rooted has anything to do with this.

As a general rule, if you're not using a custom ROM and you update with root, you will likely lose your root. I don't know if the two things are necessarily related, but I do know there is a good chance you will lose your root if you update.

it is very unlikely that your problem had anything to do with gaining root.

If so ota updates wont work. You can still update via odin but you will need to flash either cwm or twrp recovery first. Mskips all in one toolkit is good on xda
