Root [International] Contacts Storage deleted, DESPERATELY need help

So I messed up bad, and somehow got rid of the Contacts Storage app. I don't really know how I did it, but now I have no contacts, and can't add any contacts or use the contacts app, as it just crashes. I tried a factory reset (twice), but apparently that won't make Contacts Storage reappear. WHAT DO I DO???

As a result, whenever I try to sync my Google account, it says "Sync is currently experiencing problems it will be back shortly."

If someone gives me the apk, will I be able to install it just like any other app and make my problems disappear? I am a beginner, so if anyone could help me out and explain it to me detailed, please help. I'm desperate.

I am rooted, on Android 4.4.2, no custom ROM

I'm fairly sure you will have to Flash the stock rom to your device to restore the contacts storage system app. It's very important to identify the right rom for your device before doing this. Read up on it before doing anything. I'm moving this thread to the all things root forum where you will get better help.

Would flashing the right ROM re-add Contacts Storage? My question is, does flashing the stock ROM completely recoup even the system files of my device?

Hi again

Factory reset only wipes the storage partition (your data) and does not re create the factory installed apps and system. It therefore does not re install the system app you delete with your root powers.

Flashing a rom re creates the system partition as well which includes all factory installed apps. (It leaves the boot and recovery partitions alone so you have to change these separately if you need to, which i think you don't). So the answer is yes.
