Root [International] Deleting CWM nandroids?

seeafish

Newbie
Hi all, very quick an noobie question regarding deleting old backup.
In side /sdcard/clockwordmod/ I can see backup and blobs. I wanted to delete an old backup off my card, but it's only like 17MB? Meanwhile, inside the blobs I can see tonnes of data. What directory(ies) should I delete to get rid of a backup?

It's odd cos since I backed up, another gig or two was taken up on my SD card, so surely this 17MB thing isn't the actual backup?

Open up mnt/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup and you should see all you backups named after the date and time that they were made. Delete the folder with the correct time stamp of the backup you want to delete.

Thanks, but my backup in there is the one that's only 17MB. It took ages to backup, so why is it so small? Does it actually contain all the backed up data?

I dont know what a blob is?
Basically, before I did a backup I had no clockworkmod folder on my sdcard. Following a backup, one popped up and it has backup and blobs inside it. The backup folders contain 17MB data, the blobs, a lot more... made me think that perhaps the backup is an index that points to data in the other dir?

It should be like Shotgun said:

mnt/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/2012-08-13.16.02.10/

Then within here you should have:

boot.img
cache.ext4.tar
data.ext4.tar
nandroid.md5
recovery.img
system.ext4.tar

I haven't got anything called blobs.

Hmm weird... OK thanks for the help. I'll try deleting and see what happens.

/mnt/sdcard is the same as/sdcard. /mnt is just the mount point.

/sdcard is a mnt on emmc. /extSdCard is a mnt on micro sd

Are you sure you haven't deleted anything by mistake? Anyway, it may as well be corrupted. It won't serve any purpose if it's only 17MB, just delete it. In case you need to, just do another nandroid backup.
