[International / GSM] Rooting help pls

so i decided i may root my nexus . but heres the thing i downloaded Galaxy nexus toolkit and it shows different versions i circled mine in the pic but it says USA with google wallent. but im in canada on rogers wireless do i still choose the option. and whats the chances of my phone becoming brinked

There's two versions of the GSM Gnex. Yakju is the general international version which is the one you want. Takju is the US only version that has Google Wallet baked in.

Hey thanks i thought it was yakju when i select it it starts downloading imgs and stuff i dont wanna flash a rom i wanna unlock boot loader and root my phone . do i need a different program. i still wanna keep my img and get updates from samsung
