[International / GSM] XXELLA Custom ROM and new bootloader question?

Hi everyone. I am in a dilemma and would like sensible answers if possible. I have flashed Omega v36 JB 4.1.2 that has the latest UK firmware XXELLA but it does not flash the new bootloader automatically.

Basically I am confused with all the info from XDA and the ROM developer as to whether flashing the new bootloader is good, bad or indifferent. Essentially, my question is should I flash or not flash the XXELLA bootloader - the current one is LL5.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
