Step by Step instructions on:

How to root Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500

Step 1: Download Pre-rooted firmware for Galaxy S4 & ODin v1.85 to your computer and extract the zip file.
Step 2: Now boot your phone into Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down + Home button together, and then press the Power button till you see the Android Construction logo. Once again press Power button to confirm.


Step 3: Open

The above guide requires you to flash a complete rooted firmware, "I9500XXUAMC6_I9500OXAAMC6_ROOT_ODEX.zip", to your phone.

The firmware MC6 is an Android, Jelly Bean, 4.2.2 pre release firmware it would appear.
