Root [International] HTC ONE m7 soft brik, help needed

teo

Lurker
Hi guys,

Here are the facts. I tried in the latest hours to root and install a custom rom on my HTC ONE m7. I downloaded the tool, unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP, installed su, copied on the sd card the rom that i wanted (android revolution hd 82 ), got into the recovery, tried to install the rom, it all went very smooth, after install, asked me if i wanted to install SU, said yes (although it was installed), reboot and got stuck. It didn`t go any further than the android powered screen and nothing. Tried everything, at the moment I can go into boot loader, recovery but not into the system.
When I go into recovery, from what I can see, I have no OS installed, nothing. Tried everything, with boot img, pushing files, went all oever the internet, no solution. There must be something that I do wrong.
I won`t be able to answer to your solutions until tmorrow evening (I work, but, please do post your solutions).
I live in UK, I am on T-Mobile. Here are some datas about the phone :
fastboot getvar all

THanks a lot guys for your help !!!

I'm having similar problems, except I got my phone this way, so I don't have any history of what went wrong, & what was done afterward.
I was reading posts on TWRP & there seems to be issues with certain versions of the program on the m7. I read a few from seemingly experienced users, that suspect the folders are being renamed, not actually deleted. Anyone that can help out I'll get as much info as I can & check back later. I know this much for now:

*** UNLOCKED***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH

HBOOT-1.44.0000

I haven't been able to get adb & fastboot to connect with the phone, the phone is showing FASTBOOT USB but only after I move the selector from BOOTLOADER when I do REBOOT BOOTLOADER from the phone it doesn't change even if I unplug it & reconnect. If I posted in the wrong place, sorry I'm just frustrated with this... A little bit:-}

That's the bootloader screen, it's acting like there isn't an operating system to boot.

From the fastboot screen, select hboot, from there select recovery.

Post back what you see, a picture would be ideal.

Here's a similar screen to where you'll see the recovery choice I mean.

Ok,
Just so you're aware, I've read the thread in which you assisted an overseas deployed U.S. service person, very thoroughly, so I'm glad to have your help. I've also purchased a 32GB dual flash drive to make things a little easier. I also have a 2nd M7 all stock, AT&T branded is the only major difference, it's a beater, shattered glass makes it hard to read, but makes it expendable too. Hopefully this won't take 4 pages or more!=:O

On my phone it's called hboot, on yours, bootloader, but the layouts and functions are the same otherwise.

When you choose FASTBOOT from the screen I showed and plug in to PC, does it say FASTBOOT USB at the top?

Edit - you already answered that sorry.

Have you installed HTC Sync?
