Root [International] I messed up... Please, HELP!

After what I've decided is my final time using roms due to their utterly pointless nature to me, I've come here for help. Please, will you help me?

If so, allow me to tell you my story.

I came home today, happy and excited after pondering for a while on which rom to get, I finally settled on ParanoidAndroid 3.15. So, I downloaded it, performed a backup using CWM, and proceeded to install the zip. Obviously, with it being a rom, I was forced into doing a backup, however. I couldn't backup to my sdCard (my actual, physical sdCard, not the unfathomably named internal memory) due to the seperate NTFS partitions I had on it etc.

Instead, I backed up to the internal memory instead. No biggie I thought, I can just backup if I hate the rom, like I used to.

Man, was I wrong.

So, after playing around for a few hours and deciding: What's the point? This rom can't even read my [ext]sdCard. I'm gonna go. I booted up CWM, happy to see my old, stock 4.1.1 rom for the first time in a few hours, happy to get back to my old contacts, my apps, and all my settings that have been personalized and tweaked over months. I get kicked in the balls with a medicine ball by CWM.

I had to perform a stupid reset earlier to get a stupid rom to work. Not realising, that my backup was on my sdCard, or internal memory, whichever you prefer, (stupid me, I know, I should've known that it would delete back ups it made 2 minutes earlier) so...

Here comes my point (finally) I have no backup to go to, and I despise this rom.

Is there physically no way I can get my old backup back? The backup folder is still there and for some reason, the format didn't delete the new rom's zips... If not, is there anyway I can get a (preferably official) stock 4.1.1 (or whatever the latest is) rom back?

Sorry for any sarcasm or dicky comments in this post, I'm just really, really lemon right now. I really do appreciate any help that anyone can give (seriously, you have no idea) and would sincerely love you for life... Or at least a week.

A wipe with a custom recovery shouldn't touch the internal sd for the sole purpose of being able to restore data if you need to so your backups should still be there in the folder. I'm thinking maybe there's a compatibility issue between the recovery used to make the backup and whatever recovery paranoid android put on. Do you know which recovery you had before and after the flash?

Never mind, I got it to work by using rom manager. I was just wondering if you could help me with my other problem? I'm using Paranoid Android 3.15, and whenever I try to mount my sdcard (using paragon ntfs) it mounts it on storage/sdcard1. When I go to look in it with my file explorer (es file explorer) it's empty. I can't seem to mount it anywhere else... Do you have any suggestions please? Also, thanks for you help earlier, I changed the version and I can restore straight from Cwm.

I haven't used paranoid android so not really too sure but it appears to be a problem with the ROM. Some have had success by removing and reinserting the card while the phone is on.

Okay, thanks for your help anyway dude, I appreciate it. Now cwm works like it should. Just need to try and figure out this damn sdcard problem...

Not sure if youll wana hear this mate but id think about swapping your recovery from CWM to Philz (cwm-based recovery) unless someone can confirm if CWM has been updated with a SDS fix?

Thanks for your help man. But it works fine now. I was using a different recovery and it couldn't read it. My sdcard was in an ntfs format and it didn't seem compatible with PA 3.15. So I just reformatted to Fat32. Works fine now. Just a shame I can't have it in ntfs...
