Root [International] Installed the wrong version of RUU. Need help!

adelmir

Lurker
I was planning to install a custom rom, but I couldn't change my phone to s-off. Then I saw a guide to install the rom without s-off and ended up in a reboot loop. So I decided to unroot and unlock my rom, but I was mislead by the guide and flashed the wrong RUU. Now my touch screen isn't working.

How do I fix it? I tried to flash the right RUU after this and received the message "12 signature fail".

Signature Fail sounds like a bad download. Did you check the md5 code of the second RUU?

How did you flash an incorrect RUU if you are S-On? It shouldn't let you.

See if this helps.

What carrier are you on? T-Mobile or other?

What's the link to the guide you followed for the right RUU?

Which is the second RUU that you tried to flash?

The carrier is T-Mobile. I can't remember the link of the first guide, but it made me think that I only needed to find a rom from the same carrier. So I downloaded Guru_Reset_M7_1.27.531.11.zip from the htc guru website(big mistake).
The second RUU was
OTA_M7_UL_K443_SENSE60_MR_TMOUS_6.10.531.9-5.14.531.1_R_release_387954jjhcxbzgi6808nml.zip on this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2375223
So I checked your link. Do you think I can download a newer RUU on the htc site and try to flash like I did before?

Yes I did.
I think because it's a stock rom it flashed. I'm not sure.

Edit: Installed the newer rom with lollipop and the screen is working again. Thanks for your help!
