Root [International] Music integration problems with running apps

Not quite sure where this should go...

When I went running in the good ole days , with my iPhone 3GS. I used to start the Nike+ app, set my goal, choose my music from an itunes built playlist, hit start and go running. The music would start when I hit start, dim when I hit a milestone and then undim, pause when I hit pause and end when my workout was completed.

Since I moved to a Galaxy S3 I've unsuccessfully tried the Android Nike+ version and half a dozen other running apps to work as well.

There are two big problems.

1. Not all music player app playlists are recognised by running apps.
eg. When I use Endomondo Pro, I can choose a playlist that shows up empty, even though there are songs in there. I choose another playlist with exactly the same file type (eg, .mp3) and there the songs are.

Is there a file naming/numbering syntax I need to consistently use with music tracks for them to show up?

How do I completely flush my Galaxy S3 of music files/playlists/indexes/settings etc so I can start with a blank slate and get file formats and playlist structures right?

2. When it works, as far as I can tell, Nike + is the only Android running app that will let me set my goal, choose my music from existing playlists, hit start and go running. With the music starting when I hit start, dimming when I hit a milestone and then undimming, pausing when I hit pause and ending when my workout completes.

I'm sick of having to manage the music player app and running app one after the other. The App and music should seamlessly integrate.

Ok. Seems writing down a problem halfway gets you to the solution.
Working with Nike + & the empty playlist issue solved problem 1.
Playlists tracks starting with numerical tags eg '01 Song' weren't showing-up in Nike+. Renaming the same track to '01 - Song' (& so-forth) made the entire playlist visible!

As I mentioned, Nike+ has the automatic start function too. So problem 2 gets taken care of as well.
