Root [International] New Samsung Note 2 LTE very poor wifi

What is missing here in the international section is a thread or the Samsung Note 2 international and one for the Samsung Note 4 4G or LTE international as they are different.

Back to main topic of poor wifi. Not so sure what it is with these Samsung products but pretty much all that I have bought or ran into have s h i t t y wifi reception and connection. I just picked up a new Samsung Note 2 4G from Hong Kong and the wifi reception along with connection is beyond s h I t to say the least compared to my iPad and my iPhone 5. The only way the Samsung Note 2 will hold a connection is if I am freakin 4-5 feet away from router. 10-20 feet and there is no none toon

Am using a fairly high end router from Asus which is the RT-AC66U which all my other computers seem to connect to perfectly and show great reception even at far instance except or this freakin new Samsung Note 2 4G that I just bought.

Any able to help?

I would first suggest to restart the router.

Next i would suggest to restart your device, you could, if desperate enough, factory reset the device, but it sounds like there could be some hardware issues and you might just need a new Note 2.

Even while connected next to Wi-Fi networks it shows scanning continuously every 20 seconds roughly. Why does it keep scanning if it is already connected??

I guess this is not a first either.

Mine was like this yesterday. (which was my first day).
Then I noticed that my ipad was slow as well.
A router reboot solved my issue and now it's lightning fast.
Makes my old iphone 4 look sluggish in comparison lol

Been using mine for a while now and found that wifi on it is much weaker than wifi on my iPhone 5 and iPad 3.
