Root [International] pause when running to home screen

hi guys.

often when pressing the home button there is quite a long pause before the home screen appears :-\
I'm currently on root box 4.2 but have had this on most roms. I'm using latest Nova launcher.
the issue seems worse with google apps like g+

anyone get similar? or found a fix.
pretty sure it isn't s voice as don't think aokp stuff has that

In hardware key settings, have u set up double-tap home to do anythin?

hiya FL,
can be up to 2 seconds.
just checked hardware keys and nothing set there.
I'm normally using the navbar.
if you try the same action again it is much quicker.. so I'm thinking about memory issue with CM maybe
