Root [International] Siyah kernel

I just flashed the latest stock JB rom (XXDLIB), and then flashed Siyah version 1.6.3 but in SetCPU the max I can set the frequency to is 1600MHz

I'm sure that before, when I was on ICS, I had the option to go up to 1800MHz - any idea why I now have this limit?

I've not had much luck since 1.6. Freezes, lock ups, slow downs...

I have to agree, I'm on 1.6.2 and it's lag central on my phone :( Also with the stock kernel I was getting a crazy amount of wakelocks (they don't seem to be present in the Siyah kernel) and the battery life was awful so I'm a bit stuck. Might have to go back to ICS as it's pretty rock solid

I'm going back to ICS as we speak - Wanamlite 2.3 (even though he refers to it as "obsolete") :)

I'm just going to try this kernel to see if it's any better and then i'll head back to ICS

Edit: initial impressions - so far extremely smooth, no lag on stuff that siyah lagged on. Wifi signal seems more stable. I'll have to report on battery life tomorrow

I tried it in ics but ditched it because it didn't go below 200mhz like siyah, but that's a moot point now anyway.

1.6.5 hasn't been too bad so will stick it a bit longer and see

i'm running perseus.
seems to be draining the battery a bit more than stock kernel but that's only after two days of using it.

I've heard that Gokhanmoral is going to stop supporting the S3. Has anyone heard anything definite about this, and what it means for us?

I'm going to look into this further; just wanted to start the discussion.

how can i take siyah kernel off my phone as it keeps restarted now and no lettin me use phone at all....help me im really stuck i need step by step plz x

You'd have to flash another kernel in the same way you flashed Siyah.

However if its restarting, perhaps you changed some settings?
