Hi everyone,
I'm sorry if this topic has already been covered.
I've just bought a HTC One X, which was locked to the Orange UK network. I've now unlocked it so that I can use it with my O2 sim card.
The handset still has the Orange bloatware and splash screens present, and I want to get these removed, effectively 'debranding' the handset completely.
I'm also having a problem setting up an APN profile. I've manually entered all of the details, which were supplied to me from O2, but it won't actually let me select the profile that I've created. I've entered the details 3 times now, so they're definitely correct.
Basically, what I want to do is replace the Orange firmware with the stock HTC firmware, so that when I boot the phone up with the O2 sim card in it, it treats it like a new handset, and automatically sets itself up.
Could someone help please?
I've very new to this, so some simple instructions would be great.
I'd also be more than happy to send the handset to a trustworthy forum member, and have them do this for me (I'd pay a little bit to have it done).
Again, apologies if this has already been discussed. I'm in work at the moment, so I'm not supposed to be on here, and I'm quickly typing this message before I get caught!
Thanks
