Root [International Tegra 3] Is my phone beyond repair ?

I tried to do an over the air update on my phone but the battery was too low and cut out while updating. I didnt realise at the time I had to have a certain amount of battery power before going ahead with the update.
Anyway I tried various reboots and factory reset in Hboot but nothing seems to be working, even tried flashing a couple of new rom through fastboot but while firmware is flashing I get an error flash recovery failed. Not sure if I am doing everything right though.

Done getvar command and this is what came up.

(bootloader) version: 0.5a
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.12.0000

Any help much appreciated.

I'm guessing the bootloader is still locked?

You're on an older software version so you'd most likely be able to sort this by flashing an RUU. Unless that's what you mean by a new ROM?

I unlocked the bootloader and tried to install a couple of different official ROMs I found while searching google but when it is flashing to the phone I get an error message. I guess I must be doing something wrong unless the phone is completely fecked lol

I remember with my old phone which was an LG P500 there was a program you could download on the computer which would recognize the phone then install the most recent update automatically. I cant seem to find one for the htc one anywhere as I think this might actually sort it since Im having trouble installing a new rom manually.

Sorry for another question, but when you say official ROM, what format is this in? Zip or exe?

If exe and it's an upgrade to the version currently on your phone, try relocking your bootloader and running again.

I was trying to flash .zip rom through fastboot but I now realise I need the correct Rom and Im currently trying to find it in .exe form just now but having trouble finding uk__001 2.17.401.2 or later

Sorry to be a pain but how do I know what version will work with my phone. I have tried the following

RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_O2_UK_2.17.206.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_275038_signed
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_Orange_UK_1.29.061.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260736_signed

But after about 10 mins I get an error message telling me to use the correct version for my phone.

You're not being a pain, don't worry about it. :)

Based on S/W version, the following 3 should work:

RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.27_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed.exe
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe

If the bottom one has already ran and failed, try the top 2. You'll need to relock the bootloader for any of them to work though.
