hi
up till to date i am still confused about the 'unlock' terms being associate with Android devices.
Usually in generic phones terms, when you said you 'unlock' your phone, it means 'simcard/carrier lock' been unlocked, ie you have a phone that can take any simcards from any carriers and use it.
but in Android term, 'unlock' seems to be about unlocking the Superuser privileges, ie rooting so you have Full access to your phone.
Now my question is, for android phones to unlock the 'carrier/simcard lock', does it free up automatically once you've Rooted ur phone? or is there another process involve your carrier or mods to flush?
