Root [International] Trimming off the fat - CheckROM

Hey guys,

I've got CheckROM on my S2 and it's great but was wondering how I could further trim the fat off as the Memory Usage sits quite high.

On my S2 I was able to delete a lot of apps (I think I froze them in Titanium Backup if I remember correctly) and was also able to underclock the device and there was no noticeable difference in performance but a massive increase in battery life. :D

Is there a list of apps that can be deleted from the S3? And a profile to use with SetCPU?

Any other suggestions to make the Galaxy S3 'lighter' would be appreciated!!

Cheers :smokingsomb:

I use a screen off profile.

CPU max 300, min 100, governor Pegasusq.

Whether this is needed or not is debatable.

Also, undervolting using the voltages tab would be very useful. dependinbg on whether your kernel supports it.

Mine are as follows but these May NOT be stable for you.

Mhz,mV
100,725
200,750
300,775
400,800
500,800
600,825
700,850
800,875
900,925
1000,950
1100,1000
1200,1050
1300,1125
1400,1150
1500,1175
1600,1225
1704,1275

I know my lower frequencies, I have got to the lowest I can get to, 175mV lower than stock (which is a lot. I could only get 75 lower on my last device).

900-1704 Mhz I am still to experiment with...

Thats given me a job for the day then :)

Wow, 100-300 seems a little extreme to me, but I'm still a bit of a n00b when it comes to S3's. I really appreciate your input though SUroot :D

My S3 currently runs 200-500 when in call, 200-800 when Charging and 200-500 when Screen is off.

What does everyone else use?

I only use one profile when screen is off. I mean usually its in deep sleep anyway.

I dont use any other profiles. I think its all a bit too extreme. I like my phone to be as fast and powerful as I want it. I would rather recharge it than have it working beneath its potential :)
